PURPOSE: A device for defrosting a refrigerator is provided to heat a heating plate by using heat sources of various forms besides steam through a heating tube of a heating device, thereby defrosting a frozen portion in the inside of the refrigerator. CONSTITUTION: A device for defrosting a refrigerator comprises a heating device(10) and a meltwater receiver(20). The heating device is attached on the frozen portion in the inside of the refrigerator. A fixed magnet(22) is formed in one side of the meltwater receiver. The heating device thaw the frozen portion with a heating source supplied through a heating tube(13) attached on the heating plate. One side of the meltwater receiver in which the fixed magnetic is formed is attached/detached in a lower edge surface of an opening of a refrigerant. The meltwater receiver has a receiving space in order to store and drain by receiving the meltwater flowing by being thawed from the frozen portion.
