<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize motion parallax which approximates the real world. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing part corrects a depth image comprising depth values representing depth-directional positions of respective pixels of an input image on the basis of position information representing the position of a viewer etc. A stereoscopic effect correction part performs processing for correcting stereoscopic effects on an enlarged image and an enlarged depth image supplied from an enlargement processing part so as to obtain motion parallax approximating the real world. The stereoscopic effect correction part supplies an enlarged image after the motion parallax processing as a reconfigured image to a stereoscopic effect emphasis part, and also supplies an enlarged depth image after the motion parallax processing as a reconfigured depth image to a view point generation part.
