<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic contactor capable of improving a suction force of a movable plunger by restraining reduction of a magnetic flux passing through the movable plunger together with movement of the movable plunger. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic contactor comprises a movable contact 130 arranged attachably/separably on a pair of stationary contacts 111, 112, and an electromagnet unit 200 driving the movable contact 130. The electromagnet unit 200 comprises a U-sectioned magnetic yoke 201, an upper magnetic yoke 210 bridged at an upper opening part of the U-sectioned magnetic yoke, a spool 204, around which an exciting coil 208 arranged at a bottom plate of the magnetic yoke 201 is wound and that has a center opening, a movable plunger 215 arranged in the center opening of the spool movably in an axial direction and coupled with the movable contact 130, and an auxiliary yoke 203 forming a magnetic path between the movable plunger and the U-shaped magnetic yoke while the movable plunger is at a released position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
