<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a molded article preventing wrinkles and poor appearance of a sheet and having a good product value and appearance etc., when an outer peripheral frame is disposed at a peripheral edge of the sheet to obtain the molded article by insert molding. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the molded article, in molding the molded article by disposing the outer peripheral frame at the peripheral edge of the sheet by insert molding, to make a portion directly leading to the peripheral edge of the sheet of the outer peripheral frame have 1-60° of an angle α to the horizontal direction, a first outer peripheral frame forming part 23 for disposing the outer peripheral frame is formed in a mold 2 for molding the molded article so as to have 1-60° of the angle α to the horizontal direction. Thereby, the sheet is swollen to form a circular arch shape (arch) in cross sectional view to release distortion etc. of the sheet by opening.
