PURPOSE: A motor drive control device and method are provided to reduce a manufacturing process and manufacturing costs by supplying a predetermined PWM signal pattern for controlling the current flow of a stator coil to a relevant switching element of an inverter. CONSTITUTION: A motor(10) is composed of a rotor and a stator. A hall sensor(16) detects the location of the rotor through an electromagnetic force generated from a stator coil. A controller receives the location information of the rotor supplied from a first hall sensor according to a first PWM signal pattern. An inverter controls the switching state of switching elements(Q1-Q6) by receiving a hall sensor signal. The stator coil of the motor is connected between the switching elements.
