<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce easily and stably a glass roll Gr hardly causing rolling deviation during transport or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for producing a glass roll Gr which is obtained by changing the feed direction of a glass film G which is drawn vertically downward from a forming apparatus 2 from a vertical direction to a horizontal direction, then winding in a roll form the glass film G which is continuously sent downstream by a horizontal transfer section 5 at a point furthermore downstream than the horizontal transfer section 5.
