<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of improving a contrast ratio in an oblique direction, and an electronic apparatus with the display device. <P>SOLUTION: In a lateral electric field drive liquid crystal mode, a laminated film is provided on a liquid crystal display panel, the laminated film comprising a retardation film, a forward scattering film and a polarizing plate laminated in this order.
