<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic book browsing device comprising a GUI which gives a user a sensation similar to a sensation when reading a real book and also operations and functions which change according to a situation when the user travels by transportation. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic book browsing device comprises a control unit, a display unit, an interactive input unit, a storage unit, a position information acquisition unit, and an inclination detection unit. The device comprises: a transportation traveling determination function for determining whether a user is traveling by transportation; a storage area for storing a determination result by the transportation traveling determination function until it is overwritten by the next determination result; and a progress status display function for displaying a predetermined reading progress status display screen on detecting a direction of the electronic book browsing device having changed while an electronic book content is selected and browsed. When a determination result of transportation traveling indicates that the user is traveling by transportation, the device performs control to deactivate or inhibit the progress status display function. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
