<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building having a buffer member suitably placed between a building main body and a multistory parking garage with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A building which is different from a conventional building comprises: a building main body; a multistory parking garage main body; and a plurality of buffer members. The buffer member has: a first buffer member which is supported by the multistory parking garage main body and directs a first edge surface, which has a horizontally extended first normal line, toward the building main body; and a second buffer member which is supported by the multistory parking garage main body and directs a second edge surface, which has a horizontally extended second normal line, toward the building main body. One of the first buffer member or the second buffer member is arranged around the other of the first buffer member or the second buffer member. When an earthquake does not occur, the first edge surface keeps a space with predetermined dimensions from the building main body which faces the first edge surface, and the second edge surface contacts the building main body which faces the second edge surface.
