<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission and reception module in which degradation of received noise performance or transmitter output incident to insertion loss of a switch, or the like, can be prevented. <P>SOLUTION: A control circuit 5 which stops operation of a receiver 2 when a signal is output from a transmitter 1 and stops operation of the transmitter 1 when a signal is input from the receiver 2 is provided. Electric length of a transmission line 6 is set to approximately one half of a reflection phase β of the input reflection coefficient Γ<SB POS="POST">TX</SB>(off) of the transmitter 1 during off operation.
