FIELD: physics.SUBSTANCE: method involves determining the diffusion coefficient of liquid in a capillary-porous body based on analogy with a steady-state thermal conditions technique. To find the rate of the steady-state moisture transfer conditions, the capillary-porous body is immersed in water and its change of mass over time is recorded. The experimental results are used to plot a curve of the natural logarithm of excess mass versus time, characterised by that experimental points on the curve are grouped near the straight line and the tangent of the angle of inclination of this straight line to the abscissa axis on the curve is numerically equal to the value of the rate of the steady-state moisture transfer conditions.EFFECT: determining the diffusion coefficient of liquid in a capillary-porous body, needed to optimise and increase energy efficiency of technological processes of drying materials having a capillary-porous structure.1 dwg |
