PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back plane for a flat panel display device, a flat panel display device including the same, and a manufacturing method for the same.

SOLUTION: A back plane for a flat panel display device includes: a pixel electrode containing a transparent conductor on a substrate and a capacitor first electrode provided for the same layer as the pixel electrode; a first protective layer covering upper edges of the pixel electrode and the capacitor first electrode; a gate electrode of a thin film transistor formed on the first protective layer and a capacitor second electrode provided for the same layer as the gate electrode; a first insulation layer covering the gate electrode and the capacitor second electrode; a semiconductor layer formed on the first insulation layer and containing a transparent conductive oxide; a second insulation layer covering the semiconductor layer; source and drain electrodes of a thin film transistor formed on the second insulation layer and connected to the semiconductor layer through the second insulation layer, at least one of which is connected to the pixel electrode; and a third insulation layer exposing the pixel electrode while covering the source and drain electrodes.
