METHOD OF MANUFACTURING PLASTIC LENS FOR EYEGLASS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a plastic lens for an eyeglass which suppresses risk of occurrence of a defect associated with setting of a composition.

SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing a plastic lens for an eyeglass includes: a filling step of filling a molding die with a composition containing a diallyl phthalate compound; and a setting step of setting the composition by heating the molding die after the filling step. The setting step includes a temperature increase step. The temperature increase step includes: a first temperature increase step of increasing the temperature of the composition from the temperature after the filling step; and a second temperature increase step of increasing the temperature of the composition by increasing a temperature change rate relative to that of the first temperature increase step after the first temperature increase step. The temperature change rate in the first temperature increase step is >2.5°C/hr and <5°C/hr, and the temperature change rate in the second temperature increase step is <12°C/hr. The step where the temperature change rate becomes maximum is the second temperature increase step in the temperature increase step.
