<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, which prevents an apparatus body from toppling over even when receiving external force such as excessive shock and vibration during an earthquake or the like, and in which a fixture such as a wire can be easily attached to the apparatus body without impairing outside appearance. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 comprises: an anchor 55 fixed to a wall surface 101 or a floor surface; a linear wire 51 engaged with the anchor 55, for preventing toppling of an apparatus body 2 by the tension of the engagement; and front side and rear side knob members 32 and 33 projecting outside from the apparatus body, which a user can hold to transport the apparatus body 2.
