<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid detergent which has excellent low temperature stability and can be ejected in a sufficient amount of foam from a foam ejection container even at a low temperature condition. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid detergent is housed in the foam ejection container for ejecting the content in a foam and is used. The liquid detergent contains a compound (a) expressed by general formula (a1) and at least one kind (b) selected from a group comprising aromatic sulfonic acid, aromatic sulfonate, aromatic carboxylic acid, aromatic carboxylate and a 2-4C alcohol. In the formula (a1), each of (x) and (y) expresses integers of 1 to 7, where (x)+(y)=8. PO expresses oxypropylene group, EO expresses oxyethylene group. The average number of repetitions of PO is expressed by (p) and the average number of repetitions of EO is expressed by (q), where (p)+(q)=1 to 10.
