<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deflection and deviation in pressing a booklet for accurate sheet processing. <P>SOLUTION: A sheet processing apparatus includes conveying rollers 302 and 303 that convey a booklet BT formed by folding a sheet bundle, an upper cutting blade 305 and a lower cutting blade 307 that subject the booklet BT to cutting processing, first and second conveying belts 310 and 312 whose distance for holding the booklet BT is changed according to a state of processing for the booklet BT when the booklet BT is subjected to cutting processing, and a pressing member 306 and a base 308 that press and fix the booklet BT when the booklet BT is subjected to cutting processing. The distance is set to a first distance d1 that is sufficient for conveying the booklet BT, a second distance d2 narrower than the first distance d1 in which the booklet BT can move when the booklet BT is aligned, and a third distance d3 narrower than the second distance d2 in which the booklet BT is pressed and held during processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
