<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep, at a good condition, a lubricating state of each rolling body interposed between a trunnion journal and a roller in a tripod type constant speed universal joint. <P>SOLUTION: The tripod type constant velocity universal joint includes an outer ring 10 with truck grooves 16 axially extending at equally divided circumferential positions on an inner circumference, a trunnion 20 with trunnion journals 26 each protruding from the equally divided circumferential position to a radial direction, and rollers 30 rotatably supported to the trunnion journals 26 via rolling elements 32. A solid lubricant agent with a 10 wt.% or more grease separation ratio defined by the following formula when left for 168 hours at 70 degrees C is sealed inside each of the trunnion journals 26 to grease each rolling body housing portion 36 between an outer circumferential surface of the trunnion journal 26 and an inner circumferential surface of the roller 30.
