<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor for a rotary electric machine that improves strength of bonding between magnet pieces and allows downsizing of a permanent magnet that is divided into the magnet pieces. <P>SOLUTION: A rotor 10 for a rotary electric machine includes: an approximately annular rotor core 11; and a plurality of permanent magnets 12 that are fixed with an adhesive G in the rotor core 11 along a circumferential direction thereof. Each of the permanent magnets 12 is divided in a direction perpendicular to a radial direction into a plurality of magnet pieces 31 that are each coated with an insulating layer. The magnet pieces 31 are arranged in such a manner that respective opposed surfaces 33 thereof are in contact with one another. Each of the opposed surfaces 33 has grooves 39 depressed therein that extend in the radial direction from a bonded surface 35 with the rotor core 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
