<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for monitoring a patient's health during an inter dialytic period. <P>SOLUTION: The inter dialytic monitoring device includes: a sensing wire which is turned to such a configuration and a dimension that it extends through the lumen of a catheter, and has a tip positioned so as to be exposed to blood flow inside a patient; a sensor operably associated with the sensing wire and adapted to detect presence of a preselected analysis object in the blood of the patient; and an indicator operably associated with the sensor.
