PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system that can be intuitively and easily operated by a user to execute a retrieval operation on a network environment preventing the loss of the performance of the network.

SOLUTION: A first terminal device specifies a file according to a user's pinching movement on its touch panel and accepts a retrieval command when the user lifts off the finger (S11), and then it sends retrieval information including a file name and user information to an image processing device (S12). The image processing device stores the retrieval information (S21). When the user logs in, a second terminal device notifies the image processing device of it (S32) to obtain the retrieval information from the image processing device (S24), performs a retrieval operation using the retrieval information (S35) and sends a file obtained as a result of the search to the first terminal device (S36).
