<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize a pointer function by obtaining a posture (an orientation) of a pointing device, even if the pointing device is separated from a screen. <P>SOLUTION: A pointing system includes an angle calculating portion 30-0 for performing correlation processing on modulation sound waves received by microphones of all combination in which any one of speakers 20a-20c is combined with any two of microphones 10a-10c to calculate reach time difference of the modulation sound waves to the microphones of each combination about each speaker, and calculating an angle between each speaker and the microphones of each combination on the basis of each reach time difference; a position estimating portion 30-1 for estimating a position on a space of each microphone; and an indication point estimating portion 30-2 for estimating a direction vector of a pointing device 10, and estimating an intersection point between a straight line parallel with the direction vector and a screen 20 as a plane surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
