<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method and a novel apparatus for carbonization treatment of sludge, by which energy efficiency can be greatly improved in a system where heat included in exhaust gas discharged from a recombustion furnace is utilized as either one or more heat sources of a dryer, a carbonization furnace or the recombustion furnace. <P>SOLUTION: Carbonized exhaust gas G2 discharged from a carbonization furnace 2 is subjected to combustion treatment in the recombustion furnace 3 to carry out detoxification treatment of harmful substances and then is discharged outside as recombustion exhaust gas G3. Heat included in the recombustion exhaust gas G3 is utilized as either one or more heat sources of the dryer 1, the carbonization furnace 2 or the recombustion furnace 3. As the dryer 1, a conductive heat transfer type apparatus for indirectly transferring heat by conduction from dry gas to a matter to be treated is used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
