<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving device which permits the user to set a desired frequency by a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: The entire frequency band of a selected input source is displayed as a bar-like scale 37, and further, when a desired frequency is selected by dragging a needle 35 on the scale 37, frequencies in a band near the selected frequency are displayed on icons 33 in 9 KHz steps. Then, by pressing one of the icons 33 which represents a desired frequency among the displayed frequencies, it is possible to set the desired frequency.
