The method involves molding and morphologically measuring a body segment of a patient in a position. A virtual form of the body segment of the patient in the position is modeled. A machining device is programmed to dig foam according to the modeling of the body segment. An external hull (6) is assembled around an internal foam hull to form a reinforcement structure, where the external hull comprises a main part forming a main reinforcement, and secondary parts (11, 12) forming side reinforcements (8, 9). The main and secondary parts are assembled in a moldable manner. An independent claim is also included for an orthopedic corset for supporting and maintaining a body segment of a patient in a given position, comprising an internal hull. |
