PURPOSE: A multi channel embedded monitoring system for a high-resolution network camera is provided to use an inexpensive processor by processing a channel through plural processors by dividing the channel in local modules. CONSTITUTION: Network cameras form compressed image and audio data. Local modules(11,12,13) include storage media and plural processors. The local modules decompress the compressed image and audio data. The local modules determine the generation of an event. The local modules store the compressed image and audio data in the storage media.
