<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize electronic paper of which a rewriting frequency exceeds a predetermined value. <P>SOLUTION: A writing device for writing an image in a display device having a memory property, comprises at least: a memory section for storing a rewriting frequency of the image for each display device, and a threshold value regulating the rewriting frequency at which quality is guaranteed of the image displayed in the display device; a determination section for determining whether or not to rewrite the image, on the basis of a comparison result between the rewriting frequency and the threshold value; and a control section that acquires image data, and rewrites the image displayed on the display device to an image which is based on the acquired image data, according to a determination result of the determination section. The determination section, when the rewriting frequency exceeds the threshold value, allows switching between a first mode permitting rewriting of the image with respect to the display device, and a second mode prohibiting the rewriting of the image with respect to the display device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
