摘要 <p>#CMT# #/CMT# The unit has a coolant pump (1) acting upon a cooling circuit with coolant i.e. cooling water, and comprising a pump housing (2) in which a rotary vane wheel (4) is rotatably supported over a pump shaft (3) that is designed as a sleeve shaft. An actuator (20) is positioned among a drive, a pulley (23) of the coolant pump and the pump housing or a pump housing neck (12). The actuator comprises a servomotor (13) that is connected with a rack-and-pinion drive (21) for adjusting a push rod (10) and an associated guide plate (9). #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a coolant pump. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Supply unit for supplying coolant i.e. cooling water, to a combustion engine. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The actuator is positioned among the drive, pulley of the coolant pump and the pump housing or pump housing neck, so that the actuator and/or control unit can be installed in a space-saving manner, thus reducing axial space in front of the pulley. The actuator comprises the servomotor that is connected with the rack-and-pinion drive for adjusting the push rod and the associated guide plate, thus reducing susceptibility of interference of the coolant pump, and improving operational reliability of the coolant pump, while achieving optimum control of a coolant delivery rate.
