<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a heat-sensitive recording medium by curtain coating, the heat-sensitive recording medium being capable of inhibiting the undermining of printing keeping quality. <P>SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing a heat-sensitive recording medium by curtain coating to form the flow of coating materials Sa, Sb, Sc, each forming one of a plurality of layers, on an inclined sliding surface 3, then make the flow fall naturally from the sliding surface 3 and thereby, laminate a plurality of layers of coating films on a traveling base material 21. The plural layers of the coating films include a heat-sensitive recording layer and a protective layer located above the heat-sensitive recording layer. Further, the low shear viscosity of the coating material Sa of the protective layer is not less than one and not more than 10 times as much as the low-shear viscosity of the coating material Sb of the layer right below the protective layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
