<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic structure with small variation of an elastic force, and a holding device using the elastic structure. <P>SOLUTION: The elastic structure according to the present invention comprises a spring, a first guide groove, a second guide groove provided vertical to the first guide groove, a first support plate, a second support plate, a stationary plate, a first sliding member, a second sliding member, and an interlocking member. The second support plate is vertically communicated with the first support plate and the stationary plate, and is provided on the first support plate. The second guide groove is provided on the second support plate, and one end of the interlocking member is rotatably communicated with the first sliding member, and the other end is rotatably communicated with the second sliding member. When an object applies a thrust faced to the second guide groove on the first sliding member in a guiding direction of the first guide groove, the spring is elastically deformed, and the first sliding member applies a reaction force to the object. When the first sliding member is under a static condition or a constant-velocity condition, the reaction force is as large as the thrust, but directions of the reaction force and the thrust are opposite to each other.
