<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating cooker in which frictional noise between bottom surfaces of a grill plate and a cooking chamber is not produced when setting the grill plate or drawing out the grill plate, scratches on the bottom surfaces are not produced, and after the grill plate is completely placed in the chamber, high heating efficiency can be maintained by thermal contact from the bottom surface of the cooking chamber in a conventional way. <P>SOLUTION: A grill plate projection 19 is formed in a grill plate 11; a grill chamber bottom recess 22 is formed on a grill heating chamber bottom surface 13 at a position corresponding to the grill plate projection 19; the grill plate projection is fitted into the recess; and thereby, when sliding the grill plate 11, a non-sliding face 17 of the grill plate does not contact the grill heating chamber bottom surface 13 and only the grill plate projection 19 is in contact with the grill heating chamber bottom 13. When the grill plate 11 is placed, the grill plate projection is fitted into the grill chamber recess, and thereby bringing the non-sliding face 17 of the grill plate into tight contact with the grill heating chamber bottom suirface 13.
