<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freely formable suction gripper having an efficient structure from which a portion not participating in gripping is excluded. <P>SOLUTION: This freely formable suction gripper includes: a fixing member 11 having a pressure reception face 11a in one end; a grip part 12 closely installed to the pressure reception face 11a, and having a flexible and airtight hollow bag 12a filled with granular bodies 12b thereinside; and a decompression device 9 capable of decompressing pressure inside the hollow bag 12a to a prescribed negative pressure and returning the pressure to the atmospheric pressure.
