PURPOSE: A decompression apparatus for generating electricity using energy loss due to pressure reduction is provided to generate electric energy using the reduced water pressure generated when water is supplied to each household. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary compressor(160) of a decompression apparatus(100) for generating electricity using energy loss due to pressure reduction comprises a body, a shielding unit(164), an elastic member(166), and an adjusting screw(168). The body is installed in an outflow pipe(114). Inlet and outlet holes(162) of the body are formed with a diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the outflow pipe. The shielding unit opens or closes a part of the inlet and outlet holes. The elastic member delivers pressure to shield a part of the inlet and outlet holes. The adjusting screw adjusts the gap for closing up a portion of the inlet and outlet holes by controlling the height of the shielding unit.
