<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode alloy material for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which exhibits excellent volume energy density when charge and discharge are repeated. <P>SOLUTION: An alloy containing the TiFeSi alloy phase or TiFeSi<SB POS="POST">2</SB>alloy phase is used. The alloy contains Ti, Fe and Si, and when the atomic ratio is Ti:Fe:Si=a:b:c(a+b+c=100), c≤69 is satisfied. An alloy having a composition of TiFeSi has the discharge capacity and cycle capacity retention rate both superior to those of an alloy having a composition of TiFeSi<SB POS="POST">2</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
