PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method and a processor for appropriately managing the temperature of an end face of a thin film glass and suppressing the thermal deformation to strengthen the end face.

SOLUTION: The end face processor 1 includes a conveyance table 2 for conveying the thin film glass G, a preheating chamber 3 for preliminary heating the thin film glass G, and an irradiation nozzle 4 for irradiating the end face Ga of the thin film glass G with spot plasma P. The spot plasma P is irradiated to the end face Ga of the thin film glass G to cause a dehydration crosslinking reaction on the end face Ga.
