[Problem] To provide a system in which the pressure at which an accelerator pedal for a railcar is depressed can be automatically or manually varied and regulated according to operator information and the traveling state of a railcar. [Solution] A system for regulating pedal pressure in a railcar, wherein there are provided: a pedal-pressure-regulating switch; a body-weight-measuring means for measuring the body weight of an operator; a pedal-pressure-calculating means for determining a pedal-pressure value of an accelerator pedal so that the pedal pressure increases as the body weight measured by the body-weight-measuring means increases; a switch-varying means for varying the pedal-pressure-regulating switch according to the pedal-pressure value determined by the pedal-pressure-calculating means; and a pedal-pressure-control means for controlling the pedal pressure of the accelerator pedal in association with the pedal-pressure-regulating switch. The pedal-pressure-regulating switch is automatically operated in response to the body weight of the operator, whereby the relative weight of the accelerator-pedal pressure is controlled. A mode can be employed in which the speed and external traveling conditions of the railcar are measured and detected, and the pedal-pressure value is corrected on the basis of the resulting information. |
