The invention relates to an adiabatic compressed air storage power plant (01) having at least one compressed air reservoir (02), at least one continuous flow machine (08, 09, 10) connected at least on demand to the compressed air reservoir (02) via a pipeline system (03) having at least temporarily pressurized pipelines (04, 05, 06, 07) for compressing and/or relieving compressed air stored in the compressed air reservoir (02), and at least one heat reservoir (11) having heat storage means (12) suitable for conducting a heat transfer liquid for intermediate storage of heat (QV, QE) occurring upon compressing and required again upon relieving. The adiabatic compressed air storage power plant (01) according to the invention is characterized by a heat reservoir (11) arranged in a secondary circuit (13) which is separated from the temporarily pressurized pipelines (04, 05, 06, 07) of the pipeline system (03) by at least one heat exchanger (14), through which the compressed air temporarily flows on the primary side and through which the heat transfer liquid temporarily flows on the secondary side, only while compressed air flows through the primary side. |
