<p>Provided is an elevator device which can, using a simple configuration, accurately detect either the catching of the control cable of the elevator or the movement of the control cable until the control cable is caught. A cable suspender is provided to a stationary body within the hoistway of an elevator. One end of a control cable is connected to the elevator car. The movable portion of the control cable which extends from the one end to the cable suspender is suspended within the hoistway. An electrical conductor is provided to the movable section of the control cable along the longitudinal direction of the movable section. A detector detects the value of the resistance of the electrical conductor.</p> |
