Provided is a weather-resistant and solvent-resistant (chemical-resistant) tolerant label, which does not require operations of laminating a weather-resistant film on a label displaying predetermined printed information, can be attached to gas meters, and gas cylinders installed outdoors, and furthermore, to the piping thereof, and is used for the purpose of managing the gas meters, gas cylinders, and the piping thereof. Also provided is a method for printing the label. This invention is focused on laminating a film (7) on a label base material (4), said film being capable of absorbing ultraviolet outdoors, then, performing printing on the front surface side of the film using an ultraviolet-curable and solvent-resistant ribbon. The tolerant label has an adhesive layer (5) on the rear surface side of the label base material (4) composed of a synthetic resin, has necessary information printed on the front surface, and displays the information. The tolerant label is characterized in that the ultraviolet-absorbing laminate film (7) is laminated on the front surface of the label base material (4), and that the information is printed (printing layer (8)) on the front surface of the ultraviolet-absorbing laminate film (7) using the ultraviolet-curable ribbon.
