PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical conversion device capable of suppressing output of an unstable optical signal.

SOLUTION: An electro-optical conversion device 200 of the present invention comprises: a limiting amplifier 26 for outputting a binary signal on the basis of a comparison between a level of an input electric signal and a level of a reference signal; and optical signal output units 27 and 22 for outputting an optical signal on the basis of the binary signal outputted from the limiting amplifier 26. The level of the reference signal is a predetermined level higher than a maximum value or lower than a minimum value in a range of an electric signal level when the limiting amplifier outputs an unstable signal.
