<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: small-sized recording materials are continuously heated and fixed, and areas outside a small-sized paper passing area come to have an excessive temperature rise. <P>SOLUTION: The radiant heat radiated from a heat generation source to a fixing film is restricted by an opening shape provided in a reinforcement stay or a guide member and a heating area of the fixing film is adjusted according to a paper size, thereby suppressing a temperature rise in non-paper passing areas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
