<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more favorably recover toner from inside of a brush than before in a constitution where swing operation of raised bristles in a first cleaning brush roller 101 is generated by a first flicker projection 105. <P>SOLUTION: A layout is employed where the first flicker projection 105 is brought into contact to a brush roller portion of the first cleaning brush roller 101 at a region that has passed through a contact position with an intermediate transfer belt 8 and is before entering to a contact position with a first recovery roller 102 among the whole brush roller in a circumferential direction of the first cleaning brush roller 101. In this layout, after most of the toner in the brush is shaken out of the brush by the first flicker projection 105, the remaining minute amount of toner is recovered by the first recovery roller 102.
