Provided is an image-capturing device and program capable of identifying, to a high degree of accuracy, image-capturing scenes corresponding to the situation. The image-capturing scene at the present image-capturing location is identified on the basis of at least the image of the subject acquired by image-capturing and/or image-capturing assist information in at least one of the following cases: the case in which GPS information is not acquired by a GPS receiver (58) within a predetermined period after the GPS receiver (58) has been activated; the case in which GPS information is acquired by a GPS receiver (58) within a predetermined period after the GPS receiver (58) has been activated and the acquired GPS information is not recorded in a database (C); and the case in which an image of the subject has been acquired by image-capturing without the GPS receiver (58) being activated.
