The car (10) has a display device (30) for outwardly signalizing booking status of the car and comprising a light source e.g. LED or organic LED, that is integrated into an exterior mirror (20) of the car. The light source is provided for generating colors for signalizing the booking status, and another light source is arranged in a rear area of the car. A communication unit (60) is connected with the display device for actualization of the booking status. The communication unit is connected with a booking center (50), and registers spatial proximity of a user to the car. The communication unit registers spatial proximity of the user to the car over a connection e.g. radio frequency identification, Bluetoothor wireless local area network. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling display device of a motor car.
