The device has a control unit (5) connected with a sensor unit (7), a volume flow control unit (6) and a device control unit (8). The sensor unit includes a volume flow sensor (17) and a humidity sensor (12), where the control unit is arranged to influence the operating state of the volume flow control unit and the device control unit depending on sensor signals of the volume flow sensor and the humidity sensor. The control unit includes an acoustic output unit (10) to issue warning sounds based on the sensor signals and/or control signals from a microprocessor.
