<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact absorbing pad and a method of manufacturing the same, enabling prevention of decline in quality such as appearance failure by preventing inflow of a foam resin material to a back face side of a reinforcement member arranged within a lower mold. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the impact absorbing pad, the reinforcement member 10 having a plate-shaped body portion 11 is disposed within the lower mold 2 of a mold 1, and the foam resin material is injected onto a surface 11a of the body portion 11 of the reinforcement member 10. The foam resin material is foamed by mold clamping by an upper mold 3 and the lower mold 2, so as to integrate a resin foam 20 with the reinforcement member 10. A seal member 13 comprising a foam resin material is installed at least at a peripheral edge of a body back face 11b of the reinforcement member 10. After the reinforcement member 10 is disposed within the lower mold 2 with the seal member 13 which is installed on the body back face 11b coming into contact with a bottom face 2a of the lower mold 2, the foam resin material is injected to the surface 11a side of the body portion 11 under compression deformation of the seal member 13 between the body portion 11 and the lower mold bottom face 2a, so as to perform foam molding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
