<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform high-quality edge correction processing for an image data edge. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing device comprises: density determination means for determining a density of target pixel data; error diffusion processing means for performing error diffusion processing for the target pixel data; dither processing means for performing dither processing for the target pixel data; edging processing means for performing edging processing on the basis of the target pixel data and data generated by the dither processing means; and selection means for selecting the data generated by the edging processing means as data for the edge correction processing with respect to the target pixel when the density determination means determines that the target pixel is a high density having a higher value than a threshold value and for selecting the data generated by the error diffusion processing means as the data for the edge correction processing with respect to the target pixel when the density determination means determines that the target pixel is a low density having a lower value than the threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
