LOAD CARRYING TRUCK PROVIDED WITH A TRACTION SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR THE CONTROL OF A TRACTION SYSTEM OF A LOAD CARRYING TRUCK

A load carrying truck (1) provided with a traction system wherein said system comprises a first pair of mechanically driven rear traction wheels (2a, 2b) connected by a mechanical drivetrain (4) to an internal combustion engine (5), a second pair of steerable traction wheels (6a, 6b) mounted on an axle (7) and being hydraulically powered by a pair of hydraulic motors (8a, 8b and a hydraulic circuit comprising a hydraulic pump (9) arranged to drive said hydraulic motors (8a, 8b). The traction system also includes a control unit (10) connected to the hydraulic pump (9) and adapted to control the work of the hydraulic pump (9) in dependence of the rotational speed of a rear wheel (2a, 2b) and a steering angle of the second pair of traction wheels (6a, 6b) provided with the hydraulic motors (8a, 8b).
