DELIVERY TOOL FOR PERCUTANEOUS DELIVERY OF PROSTHESIS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a delivery tool for percutaneous delivery of an improved prosthesis.

SOLUTION: The expandable delivery tool is used to aid the development of a prosthesis device within a patient. The delivery tool has an approximately slender shape with a selectively expandable distal end region that has a diameter enlarged outward. When advanced percutaneously into the patient's vessel, the delivery device can assist determination of a position in a target area, aid the development of the prosthesis to a desired position and further expand the prosthesis after the development. In one embodiment, the device for percutaneously delivering the prosthesis includes at least one connection mechanism 130 which includes a control mechanism usable to turn a distal end of one of a first member 136 and a second member 138 with an opening 140 to an opening position from a closing position so as to separate it from the other one and a locking pin 134 attached to the first member. The locking pin is elongated into the opening in the closing position and separated from the opening in the opening position.
