<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of blur in a boundary of a displayed image. <P>SOLUTION: A control method of an electro-optic device comprises: a first control step in which upon rewriting for rewriting an image to be displayed in a display unit (3), a potential different from a potential of a counter electrode (220) is supplied in a plurality of frame periods to a pixel electrode (21a) of a first pixel (20a) where the grayscale to be displayed is to be changed; a second control step in which the same potential as the potential of the counter electrode is supplied, in at least a part of frame period in the plurality of frame periods, to a pixel electrode (21b) of a second pixel (20b) adjoining to the first pixel and having no change in the grayscale to be displayed during image rewriting; and a third control step in which a potential different from the potential of the counter electrode is supplied to the pixel electrode of the second pixel in a frame period after the potential is supplied in at least one frame period in the first control step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
