<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a cooling effect for both of a valve plate side bearing and an output shaft side bearing, and to extend lives of the bearings and an oil seal. <P>SOLUTION: The hydraulic motor includes: a front side casing 3; an output rotating shaft whose one end side is supported via a first bearing 6 at a center part of the front side casing, and which has a plurality of pistons 10 disposed in the circumferential direction of a large diameter part on the other end side, a swash plate 8 provided at the tip of the pistons, a valve plate 17 provided near the back end of the pistons, and a recess opened to the back side at a center part of the piston; a back side casing 18 which is formed with a projection fitted into the recess, is formed with a pressure oil supply chamber and a return chamber for the pistons, and has a makeup port connected to a hydraulic circuit for suppressing cavitation; and a second bearing 12 supporting the back side of the output rotating shaft disposed between the outer circumferential surface of the projection and the inner circumferential surface of the recess.
